    Dubbed "A Gem In The Desert" by the Huffington Post, this award-winning gallery has quickly become one of the most sought-after destinations for art lovers in Las Vegas. Since opening its doors in January of 2017, the Basner Fine Art gallery has been celebrated for its inspirational photography and experiential exhibition setting, offering visitors a unique and immersive experience. The vast 3,700 sq.ft. exhibition space focuses on themed storytelling and offers new perspectives on traditional subjects. It has been awarded the "Best Art Gallery" title six years in a row by the Review Journal's "Best of Las Vegas" reader's poll, a testament to its exceptional curation and dedication to providing a one-of-a-kind experience for its visitors.

     

    As visitors step inside the gallery, they are transported to a world of visual storytelling. The featured large-scale works showcase an unmatched level of depth and dimension, offering a highly immersive experience and inviting visitors to explore each piece, contemplate its meaning, and reflect on their own emotions and experiences. Each piece offers a unique perspective on the passage of time, and the gallery's commitment to excellence in curation ensures that visitors are left with a profound sense of connection to the art and the stories it tells.

     

    Beyond the artistic offerings, Basner Fine Art is dedicated to supporting the Las Vegas community through philanthropy, education, and partnerships with local non-profit organizations. One of its most notable initiatives is the establishment of the "Mario Basner Passion Project Fund" which provides resources and mentorship to UNLV College of Fine Arts students, helping to foster the next generation of creative talent.

    ABOUT MARIO BASNER

     

    Award winning photographer Mario Basner was born in the suburbs of Hamburg, Germany in 1968. His works focus primarily on architectural subjects and cultural identities, translating experiences through time and space while offering an unparalleled sensation of depth and realism. By opening a window to the evolution of life and time, Mario blurs the past with the present, evoking thought and stimulating the senses through an immersive and sensory viewing experience.


    Before dedicating himself to photography, Mario enjoyed a 25-year career as a professional musician in Europe and the United States. His extensive resume includes shows such as Cats, Mamma Mia, The Lion King and several TV programs, i.e. Ally McBeal.

     

    Mario’s passion for photography became his primary focus when he relocated to Los Angeles and opened a boutique dark room business in 2002. His desire to express his own thoughts and vision grew substantially, leading him to transition into visual arts full time.

     

    When he discovered an abandoned historic site in Europe in 2013, Mario inadvertently found his voice and his purpose. His highly acclaimed documentary series of the Beelitz Heilstätten Sanatorium became the first installment of Mario’s “World Heritage Collection”, earning 78 international awards of excellence. The profoundly compelling and emotionally charged photographs have been a permanent installation in Mario’s Las Vegas art gallery since 2017.

     

    Mario’s latest projects include an ongoing series of library portraits from around the world. These captivating works emphasize the inspirational qualities of historic libraries by depicting the emotional experience within the environments.

     

    Mario proudly represented Las Vegas at the “2019 La Biennale di Venezia” 58th International Art Exhibition in Venice, Italy by invitation of the European Cultural Centre. The “Personal Structures” exhibition was held May 11 th – November 24 th, 2019, bringing global attention to Las Vegas art & culture.
