JOURNEYS: GATEWAYS TO SELF-DISCOVERY
The photographs in this exhibition played a significant role in the artist’s ongoing process of self-discovery.
Personal journeys are distinctively private experiences of great symbolic strength, offering unique qualities for each individual embarking on the journey and contributing to a greater self-awareness. These voyages can be physical, spiritual, emotional or psychological and can bring a special kind of wisdom when we are open to the possibility.
Experiences transcend and elevate our perception and encourage reflection, introspective and getting in touch with one’s essence and sense of self. Self-discovery is a spiritual process unique to each of us, allowing us to deepen our insights on the world around us and life itself.
While each of these photographs have distinctive meaning for the artist, they are intended to provide a plateau for the viewer to take their own personal journey, unobstructed by the artist’s direction.
