The Chania International Photo Festival is turning the beautiful city of Chania, Crete into an international center of artistic expression. It will be held at the Grand Arsenali from July 1 until July 6, 2021,
Mario Basner’s recently released work “Doge Palace” joins the curated selection of photographs for this exhibition, representing 71 countries from around the world.
The festival will take place at the Center of the Mediterranean Architecture in a building dating back to 1595, at the Old Harbor of Chania. The hosting building is known as the Grand Arsenali and was the biggest shipyard located in the Venetian port of Chania. Renovation started in 1997, turning the building into one of the most important cultural centers in Crete. Some of the largest events taking place in Chania are hosted in its premises.
